Four points decide the price
Destination market and plug standard; the models and the quantity band; the FOB price target; and the packing level. These four items are almost always the reason a quotation takes days instead of hours. Give us all four and the pricing is arithmetic. Withhold any one and everything downstream — artwork, certification route, carton plan — becomes an assumption that surfaces later, at the point where it is expensive to change.
Four points decide the artwork round
Colourway (including whether folding or straight tube); whether the box is neutral or printed with your design; the manual language and how many languages; and the accessory kit. Packaging is where importers lose the most calendar time — a printed box needs artwork approval, a colour match and a proof before it can go on a press. Decide these early and the box is ready when the goods are.
Four points decide customs and the warranty desk
The certification documents your market requires; the spare-parts list you want held; the mixed-container plan; and the first-shipment date and port. Every unanswered line here becomes production-time friction — a missing certificate delays a vessel, an unagreed spare-parts list delays a repair, an unplanned mix changes the loading diagram. OEM starts at 200 units per model, with T/T 30/70 commonly used and mixed containers as standard practice. A brief that answers all twelve lines is what makes a same-day specification sheet and a 30-day valid quotation possible.
