PACKING SYSTEM
Two carton logics,
one catalogue.
Straight-tube models ship in four-piece cartons; folding-tube models in compact three-piece boxes. That single design choice moves up to 508 extra units into a 40-foot container — roughly 27% more sellable inventory on an identical freight invoice, before any conversation about unit price.

Both models sit on the same 500 W electric-brush platform. The only difference is the folding tube — and 1,904 versus 2,412 units per 40HQ. Model the landed price both ways before you commit to a first order.
THE ARITHMETIC
Work it in this
order, every time.
Most importers negotiate unit price first, then discover the freight. Do it the other way round: the carton determines the units, the units determine the freight per unit, and only then does unit price matter.
Freight per unit
Total freight and origin charges divided by units, never by cartons. This is the number that changes when the carton changes, and it dwarfs most unit-price negotiations.
Landed unit cost
FOB plus freight per unit plus the destination charges your clearing agent actually quotes. Use real carton dimensions, not an assumed CBM.
Retail price at margin
Only now set the retail figure. If the margin does not survive step three, the answer is a different carton or a different model — not a harder negotiation on unit price.
DELIVERY TERMS
FOB Ningbo or Shanghai,
planned around your season.
Lead time is roughly 15 working days outside peak season and about four weeks in the September–December peak, counted from confirmed specification and approved artwork — not from the first message. The date is written into the PI. We do not give verbal estimates the production calendar cannot hold.

Standard terms. EXW and CIF quotable on request. Every quotation states the Incoterm explicitly and is valid for 30 days.
T/T
Payment
T/T with the balance against shipping documents. L/C at sight and D/P arrangements can be discussed for established programmes. Terms appear in the PI, never agreed verbally.
MIX
Mixed containers
Standard practice. Corded, cordless and floor washers in one box plan against one freight invoice. Send the list; get back units, weights and the loading diagram.
THREE THINGS THAT BREAK A LOADING PLAN
- Colour-box dimensions changing late. A reinforced box for a heavier machine changes the carton count. Confirm the box structure before the PI.
- Accessory kits added after the carton was specified. A kit occupies its own volume. Agree the kit contents in the same breath as the carton.
- Palletisation at destination rather than origin. A pallet plan can reduce units per container by 8–12%. Decide where the pallet is built before you price the freight.
The loading table goes inside the PI. That makes it a contract term rather than a spreadsheet nobody opens at the port.
